Become a Community Change Supporter

Our Community Change Supporters achieve change by taking small everyday actions to help raise awareness, grow understanding and secure positive change through being a voice in your community.

Our goal is to reduce discrimination, injustice and inequality by transforming behaviours, attitudes and misconceptions towards sight loss. You’ll join a growing community of people across the UK turning awareness into action, and action into lasting change.

In becoming a Community Change Supporter you will gain: 

1. Skills development opportunities such as public speaking and effective influencing. 

2. Access to regular peer support and a chance to connect with other Community Change Supporters. 

3. Invitations to a rolling programme of training sessions, information events and webinars.

4. Learning about sight loss and how to bring about change.  

5. Regular information on upcoming activities and actions you could take.

Anyone who has a desire to learn new information and skills that you can use to make a positive change in your family, workplace and community. Using your enthusiasm for supporting change for people with sight loss you already have, to encourage others to be part of the solution too. 

You’ll be able to pick and choose from attending activities and events, to taking quick one-off actions that fit into your daily life. Every action you choose makes a difference.
